Oscar was fighting the entire upper echelon of Rocket apparently. Just as well, it was a fine way to prove himself to his superior that he has earned his place among the beasts. Currently he stood across from Admin Killian, a man he had met only once before when he was teleported into his home. He was cordial enough when they met, so Oscar was looking forward to another chance to interact with him.

Oscar had his chosen pokemon out already, Avenger the crawdaunt stood by ready to face his first opponent. That's right, Avenger has yet to see an actual fight yet. However he has been very promising during training, so Oscar had high hopes for this brutal lobster. 

Oscar shifted as he gave Killian a greeting, "Morning Boss. Ready to show me what you got?"

Oscar, one of Rocket's beasts and another of the men present during 's capture. It's like the world was throwing these people at him. Trying to test how well he could keep himself together.

"With pleasure." Killian replies as his squadron of Falinks march onto the battlefield. Lined up side-by-side, the elite unit of warriors stomp their feet.

There will be No Retreat from this battle. Falinks charge forward to deliver a series of powerful kicks against Crawdaunt's shell with Close Combat.

A fighting type against a dark type? Not a great matchup, but Oscar wasn't deterred. He clapped his hands together to get Avenger's attention, "Remember boxing practice? Fight back against the attack the same way!"

Avenger nodded, waiting for the falinks to come to him. There would be indeed no retreat, and Avenger wasn't going to run. He met his opponent head on, slamming a glowing claw toward the flailing mass of limbs. His other claw began to glow as well, and he used them in tandem to meet as many of the strikes as he could (Crabhammer).

He did not escape damage entirely, the force of the fighting move could be felt even with his strengthened appendages. Nevertheless Avenger did not falter,  striking back with just as much ferocity as he searched for an opening.
